gah !! the gremlins were humping in my garage last night and a freaking bumper that has been in the rafters for going on two years fell on the corner of my just finnished the body work finnaly car in the garage.. the worst part is that it put a huge gouge in the metal right above the quarter vent... oh why god why ???? lol. hehe gives me more work to do. so im not that upset. i will get a pic up here in a bit. there is no way i can pull this dent out either.
on a side note
the 19th !! if i make it i will not be bringing the 7 ,once again i will have all the kids. they wount mind lol...

ok its been a bit, it got the door too but not that bad. i can fix that...

Anyone need a in dash dvd player for their daily or 7? I got the one I took out of my WRX and I need it gone. Looking to get 200 obo for it

It's a Phase Linear UV8 touch screen with a remote. Also has the code put in so you can watch dvd's while your driving without having the e-brake up.

Depending on the tool you have - Anything between 36 and 80 will make it happen.

I have this funny feeling that you're about to completely destroy the body on your 3.

Good luck man.

-Ian

Wont make meet on 19th, I got a baby shower to host.
BTW, if anyone is for sure going to the meet and would like to either meet up or stop by my house before-hand you can take Diego's cooler back to him. If not, then I guess he'll have to wait some more.

omfg ian !! baby shower?!?!
diego, i used aircraft remover for most of my stuff. i didnt really feel like wasting my time with all that sanding... too messy for my taste. you might find stuff that you wount want to however. like me i found that most of the driver side door was filler. that wasnt all that bad since i got my hammer and dolly out.

Yeah that's some ruff **** there, but i got the soda blaster after looking into it since eric mentioned it. **** is awesome takes off about anything and doesn't warp metal. ill be blasting my engine bay here soon. And what makes you think im gonna destroy my 3? im not crazy nor dumb so i know when to back off. lol
And sucks that you can't make it! no worries on the cooler.

I thought about that, but i figured you would need gallons to strip an entire car. So soda blaster was my solution. Hood, trunk and maybe doors will get acid dipped.
Thanks

if there arent several layers of paint on the car you can do it all in about a gallon. it works really good on everything. lifts filler right off too!!
but a soda blaster i have been looking into as well. let us know how it does and post some pics.

man, i think it took like 200-250 lb of the sand to blast just my diff, a arms and sub frame- that soda must be the ****! I know it does leave a coating on the metal that keeps it from rusting too, which is nice - after sandblasting i think you have about 2 hours before surface rust rears its ugly head.

can you get it in different grit ratings or is it all the same?

Really? well the 3 has pretty much 2-3 old layers so it should be easy im sure. Once i get some time to blast the car i will take pics of before and after. But looking at videos makes it look easy.

Well thats like 5hrs of blasting so its not that bad. yeah watch some youtube videos on soda blasting and its just like sand blasting only easier on metal and you.. i did read that after sand blasting you need to apply some type of rust preventor to stop that from coming out. little moisture and it will pop out..

And yes i believe you can get medium and heavy grit.

Thanks for offer Steve but am camping this weekend. I am totally booked up for the next few weekends (remember?) although I had a cancellation last weekend so in reality I could have made the spoiler deleting possible... It sucks, but whatever.

Hey new guy - NVM the PM lol.
