So the Rx3 arrived yesterday. Car looks alot worse than i thought. LOL lots of surface rust that needs to be taken care here soon. Some of the window sealant is gone so it did leak today when i did a check up. Interior is ok, front passenger carpet was gone, lots of wires that need to be cleaned up. Engine bay has surface rust up front and needs some cleaning. Trunk is really guey on the back panel and has surface rust. Body is peeling like ****, some one resprayed it a dark blue and did a horrible job, or car was outside for 10 years. Engine well cranked over, but i don't think i have gas. Tranny is missing a banjo on slave first gear is not there?? Tomorrow will try to get it running.

Good thing is, engine can prob sell for like 2k, good money to invest on a good paint job.
Plans:
new fully built n/a Carb with potential of adding a turbo down the road.
i want AC/Heat
new bright red paint job
re-chrome everything
remove leather roof
17in weds
full 3inch exhaust thats quiet enough to drive on city limits
re-upholster interior, same white leather
new audio system
Windows are good, so just all new rubber trim
And Front lip and rear wing if i ever find them

one good thing about those vinyl tops is the tendancy to hide big patches of rust. might want to have your fingers crossed when you remove the thing...

 

Yeah i know, wont do that for a while though since i bet its not fully painted. Though the inside liner is pretty clean so hopefully roof still intact.

 

id start by removing the Chevy "heartbeat of America" stickers

I think QC at a "Old Chicago" get's my vote.

Buffalo wild wings was a good time.

I think meeting at a restaraunt is good then meet up at a park later.

I don't mind a little drive on a weekend with the 7.

I never voted CR just because it was clsoer to me.

If we do QC maybe another Mid night mayhem setup......

but i'm out most the summer for military and work so doubt I could attend unless it's after 20th of July.

Yes i deff gonna remove all those stickers. But ill do that when im ready to sand and prime. Right now cause of damn rain i can't get working on it. hopefully tomorrow i get it all running. need to see how good that engine is, i was told it was rebuilt by some pro down in texas so thats reassuring. but will c

 

id be down for a longer cruise, itll be more fun if i can go above 3k, mabye we could hit the interstate for a bit then head to a park kinda like we did at the IC meet last summer.

Also i suggest Hooters in QC, we may get some of the girls to pose with our rides..... Ill be happy to contact the manager of the store to ask if we can get acomidations for our non profit organization's annual meeting.
