Just because ic and cr are closer to you and e dogg doesn't mean it HAS to be held up there.

There is a old chicago down here that we should have it at and I can get with jesse and have him post something on qcaaf.com and i'm sure there will be tons more people show up. rather than just the usual.

dude I understand people don't want to drive. I just see it pointless to have 80% of the people drive to meet the other 20%. Less people will do this. So instead of losing the 80% group just cause 20% people don't want to drive I rather have it closer to them. Point is, I'm not gonna drive 2hrs to just meet 1 or 2 people. And I just said cr cause I live here. If you can get the 80% to go to your area then I'm down. Just don't want to waste time for 5 cars. LOL.

well when there aren't many cars to start with its tough. you e and jason always seem to want it and have to have it in your area. you can't always get what you want and if it's to far for you to drive, it's real simple, don't.

From now on if we can't alternate where we have the meets you won't see me and brian at anymore of them. then jason and rich can cry.

I really dont care where its at. As long as its WORTH our drive. CR i plan because we have a dealer that would help us, i can get a few other sponsors to give out little prizes. If you want to waste opportunities like this just cause "you" can't have it at your place. Then its fine by me. If you can get something special going on at your place then im all down. But so far there is what? 2 people at your area? And not to be a dick, you dont have a rotary right? So that makes it less. But like i said again, if you can get the people out there im down. Otherwise i think majority should pick the location. **** i say we should all just go to des moines. Then we all have to drive.

Here's what you dont get Diego. We've had probably 12 meets and every single one of them (minus 1) was in CR. Also, get used to only 5 cars showing up - we've only had one meet where basically everyone showed up and it was the 2nd or 3rd meet. We also had one meet in Des Moines and only 2 or 3 people showed up. That was the only meet I have ever missed. i dont mind the drive personally but at the same time is CR really the central location? Honestly it seems more likely that IC is.

Bottom line is this: We're all spread out so someone is going to have to drive a decent distance every time. However, if we can have the meet in different places, then it seems more of an all around "fair" - at least in my eyes.

See you guys are only counting yourselfs. Im involving the rx8 guys and for us its easiest to just come to CR or Iowa City. There is 5 Rx8s in that for sure will show up. But ill just leave it to you guys to decide. Just post up whatever you decide on.

come on guys.
dont be like this.

as far as driving goes, i think i have to drive the farthest everytime.
IC is one hour, CR is 1.3 hours, and QC is 2 hours for me.
i agree that we need to move the meets around.
ive never suggested my place, because it is completely out of the way for EVERYONE except myself (even though i own my own parking lot, as Ian said)

i just want to have another good meet like we did last year at IC. it doesnt have to BE at IC, but lots of people should show up, and be in good spirits.

I guess i dont really care where it is, i just hate to see you guys arguing about this like its a huge deal. lets just do QC since we havent had one there, and see how it goes. if it sucks, we wont do it again. but who knows, maybe it will be awesome.

And i'm not trying to be a dick but didnt you drive a truck to ian's and not even a car... If you want to play little bullshit games and argue like kids we could do it all day but i'm not going to.

I think you have offered the dealer thing a few times and nobody really gives a **** about it otherwise we would have taken you up on the offer.

A meet to me is not just about owning a rotary but getting to see, what I consider some good friends that i've made because of owning a rotary. I guess the cars are more important to you than me.

Anyways i'm not wasting anymore time arguing with you diego. I think your a cool dude but maybe you should stick to the rx8 meets and let us 7 guys worry about the 7 meets.

I know i showed up in a truck, my car wasn't ready. Now i got 2 rotaries that will be ready for next time. The Dealer meet a few ppl where interested. Don't work then w.e..
And to me, when you in a car club and you say a meet. well obviously it should be about the cars. people showing their progress and what all they have done since last time. If you just want to hang with friend wouldn't just trowing a party be better?
And Sure ill just stick to other sections and forget about meeting up. I just wanted to have something where we could have all rotaries in it. I for once want to see this crowd in IOWA grow.. BUT w.e..

I'm with Steve on this one. To me it's more about meeting you guys than seeing the cars. I think my favorite part about the last meet in Coralville was bullshitting at BWW's and obviously second favorite part was chilling at the park (no offense Brian). lol Once you guys set a place and date and time I can decide if I'll be able to make it or not. Hey Blade, how far are you from Dubuque?

QCAAF will be renting the track at Cordova September 13th. All of you are welcome to join in the fun. I will have more details as they develop but so far I know that we will have the track for 4 hours and it will cost $35 per racer. This may seem like alot of green to go racing but I can tell you it is worth every penny! The last time we held this event I was able to make 13 passes.

ill third this one.
its about the people.
we all know what each other drives. and how nice/crappy there car is.
we just get together for the spirit of the rotary. not necessarily for the cars, but to BS about them (or Eric's police record).
im grateful that diego has taken the time to try and bond the 7 and 8 club, but you (diego) need to realize its not going to be an easy task. we have our routines, and you have yours. we will have to compromise somehow.
oh, and Cody (it is Cody, right? or with a "K" maybe...) my dad lives in dubuque. so im up there about once a month.

Yea, you got the name right. lol Some people always want to spell it with a K, but it's C. Anyways, I moved up to Dubuque from Maquoketa this past December and wasn't sure how far you were away. I knew you said you had an FD and kind of wanted to take another look into them to decide if I'd rather use a FD or FC for my next build...

I understand that people want to just hang out, but then you shouldn't call it a car meet but just a outing. And before we started this little argument about not having a rotary there. There was a lot of bitching about people not having cars there and what not. So that makes me thinks its still about the car. IF you guys don't care for the cars then people shouldn't complain on what we drive there right? lol so to save my rx3 from racking miles ill drive truck to meets. lol
And like you guys have stated, ill just step down trying to get people together. Ill spend my time under my car.

anyone around the qc bored this week? i have a wire harness i need to repair wouldnt mind having an extra hand. the way it is looking i might have to extract the whole thing. all the wires in the new car are melted together from the wiper selector to the firewall and from there... god only knows... but i have a spare torn up harness i can graft together. likely its going to take a long time doing it. ugh.
