Anyone have a set of FD twin turbos for sale? Mine are having an oil seal issue on the rear turbo and I think it may possibly be blown. Seeing a 8-6-6 and dropping pattern. I know I'm boosting low in the first place likely due to a vacuum leak. PM or post here if you know anyone selling one.

 

We should start setting up a date for the next meet. Anyone have any ideas for locations or dates? Let's get the ball rolling and figure this out.

 

I think the next meet should be in the quad cities area otherwise im not going and then you guys can listen to jason and rich bitch and moan about it.

 

i think the next meet should be in iowa city again, or cedar rapids. or dubuque, but i doubt any of you would drive to dubuque.

Mazda dealership in cr said we could have one at their place. Test out a miata or a speed3 like I did. LOL. Rx8 guys might be planning something here soon. It be nice to have everyone from both forums together.

 

Rich stopped bitching after "that one time" and just simply stopped coming to meets because of it. Im cool with QC, or IC, or CR, or even at Blade's house in NL. Showing up to an 8 meet is on my plans, I just always forget to sign on to 8club and see whats going on. Good thing Diego has my back!

If we do it in QC, where would it be (cant be at your house since you said you were planning on moving)? Come up with a game plan and let us know.

 

Technically Dubuque is the most central location for a meet if you consider between CR and the QC's. But unfortunately it's not like I can host since I don't have a house or big garage to hang out in. There's tons of good parks around here or we could set up in one of the parking lots down by the river front. There's picnic tables and stuff setup there since they have the fireworks on the river front. I would like to get a date going also so then I can plan ahead. If not for the surprise Memorial Day gathering in Clinton I'd have been at the last one. It doesn't bother me to drive really, especially considering the last meet I made it to I drove down to Davenport and picked up Steve and then drove out to Coralville, so it was a good 1.5 hours one way for me. Other cool thing would be if we did have it in the QC we could see if like The Car Shop would let us have a small get together there since they are a speed shop.

 

heaven forbid there is one in the qc and i cant freaking get there. flood, baby, work lol. im always up for a qc meet. hell i have 4 rx7's here as it is(and the broken dreams of 3 others)... im sure the car shop would let us have a shindig. if not i have... depending on the day. lots of off street parking. and some inlaws just down the street. lol, thats an idea and i can borrow my father inlaws grill...

 

there are so many parks down here it's redonkulous. setup a date and i will have a nice park we could get together at.

yeah being mad and not coming is kind of a girl thing to do what's the point of being like that life is to short.

 

i wouldn't mind a QC meet, its really no further than Washington- although a meet at a dealership sounds cool- even though a sales dood would be there pitching new cars on us lol

 

I doubt they will try to sell you a car lol The manager that came to ours was pretty cool and she offered us that then. She said they did it with jeeps one time and had this rock climb wall setup for it.
I also don't mind where it is as long as people are gonna show up.

 

yeah i was just messing around, it'd be kinda cool to have some new 8's or miatas there also.
if they'd let me test drive an RX-8 that d be nice they are usually pretty tight with the keys on them.

 

No the lady will let you, i was gonna test out the miata/09 rx8 but they were AUTOs so no point. The MS3 was fast, but the gearbox was really tight, id go into 3rd thinking it was 1st. Smoked the clutch a little lol..

 

yeah they let me drive a Miata a few times but they wont let you at a new 8 unless you are actually going to buy it. lol

 

lol well i asked if i could drive the 09 and they said yeah, but when i found out it was a auto i said never mind. lol if there is one at the meet im sure they will let you. Just dont beat on it.

 

ive test driven 4 rx8s at dealerships.
anyway, i think the meet at the dealership sounds really cool.
or, we were supposed to do old chicago in IC last year, and it ended up being at BWW.

no offence to anyone but I think meet should be held where the most cars are located. Say large group around cr,ic then we should hold it there. Then we can make the most of it.
