Hey Iowa
holly frickin *****...
man, what a night. locked my car in the morning, went out later to unlock it, and the key wouldnt work. so i called the police to have them use their slim jim, and they dont use it anymore for liability reasons. long story short, i ripped of the pass. side door handle (it didnt work anyway) so, yeah. sorry i didnt catch up with you, Ian. point being, replace your handles if they are loose! especially FC guys!

anyone interested in buying my 87 tii? it recently had an engine fire, but it wouldn't take much to get it running again. the fire melted some vacuum lines and a small part of the harness. it has a pair of 680 secondaries, fcon, autometer boost gauge, accel plug wires and racing beat catback. $1000 obo
i might get it running this weekend.
edit: the previous owner told me the engine was rebuilt at banzai racing and there are 40-50k miles on it. also, the front bumper is dented along with the hood. someone must've hit a pole with it or something.
edit #2: it's silver with ugly *** red interior. there is some rust(surface rust) on the passenger side rear quarter panel.

I am just wanting to get 8 because the body on this thing i kid you not is perfect and has the stock skirts on it, and the fenders are perfect, and i have all complete interior etc...will get pics rotor
It's running great. I'm still not letting it run longer than a few minutes, and I have to prime the carb every time before I start it. But I've got it running out of the gas in its own tank, and I found out why the taillights weren't working - I forgot to plug the connectors in when I swapped them. I'm waiting for it to get just a few degrees warmer (tomorrow) so I can change out the oil, the antifreeze, and the thermostat. After that, bleeding the brakes and figuring out why the gauge cluster isn't working. My bet is on the single + that comes to that cluster. How's your 7 doing?
Oh, and I found out why the front left wheel was sititng so far back, the lower control arm is bent, really bent. So, junkyard trip tomorrow for one of those too. Need anything from there? Unless Ian has one.
Ian, do you have one?

Last time I asked Ian he didn't have one, which is why I'm stuck straightening mine out, but that was a couple of months ago. Blade, pm me your number again, I'll give you a call if I find anything there. I know they've got two fc's, but I'd have to check to see if they're s5's.
No control arms, sorry. When I part cars I usually dont take anything that makes it not roll. Last time I was at A-1, both FCs were S4s. One was a T2 though IIRC.
Zeke, you dont need a fender, you need another motor... And the free trans that goes with it.

lol . i am probably going to bring my freinds b2200 to the meet , i need to get a tie rod fixed on the 81. or my malibu . that should fit in the trunk lol . my wife would kill me . i will bring your sand with Ian .
Got the control arm at the junkyard. Spent two hours doing it. Turns out the only sockets I brought for the ratchets big enough to move the bolts I needed them to were standard ones. Only had metric sockets for my smallest ratchet. Ended up working with that and a bunch of wrenches. Good, dirty, times.
It drives! Bled all 4 calipers (lots of crappy fluid), then took the 7 for a quick spin around the parking lot. The steering is all messed up, but I think that's because of the control arm problem (still haven't gotten to that). But at least it's moving around under its own power.
The engine's running kind of choppy. I suspect vacuum leaks. I'll start trying to track them down after the control arm is in.
