I'll be home all evening, phone will be with me. Give me a call I'd be more than glad to talk with you about the car. I'm looking into what would take to get the car to run, I'm hoping it's just the engine harness and starter. Things I can buy from Jason.

Thanks, I got that one from Wisconsin about a year ago. It has 99k miles on the chassis. I paid $900 for it. Absolutly no rust on it. Jason came down and took the rotary from it about a month after I bought it. I was going to try to paint it this winter and get some of the dings out of it, but I am still up in the air about it. I rolled the fenders and it rubs only when I hit really bad bumps. Other than that, it works great. Jesse

Do you think the shifter is to tall? I think it is lower than the factory Mazda shifter. I had to make the shifter handle, it was much taller and too far forward before. Now it sits really low, feels really good. Jesse

I have narrowed the cluck sound down to the passenger side rear. It happens when I go over bumps and under hard acc. and hard shifts. I checked the front mount and it is OK. WTF??? Also, I will be at the track for sure tomorrow night if it does not rain. Hope to see some of ya'll oout there. Jesse

I haven't yet. I should probably look at them. Some of the ones up front look bad, I am sure the rears aren't much better. Jesse

yeah that was a problem with the motor im talking about the rear diff mount not the tps shea's diff mount is broken which is probly the same one that broke on my old one even after we fixed the tps it still was a little screwy so he took it to a shop that fixed it and then they saw his diff mount was broken when he went hard on the gas and let off i heard a clunk similar to the one in my black one so i told him to get it checked

jesse your ride is bad *** u need to give me a ride in that thing one of these days if you dont mind spending the money illinois dyno shop could point you in the right direction and they are very fair on pricing just an idea

I ran a 12.14 @ 113 mph with a 1.77 60ft. It turns out the clunk was a loose subframe mounting bolt. Jesse

I still havent got the title yet, I've been working on the engine replacing all the vacuum lines and cleaning it up a bit. I'd like to sell the shell (including the transmission, if you need it) for $1,500. If you are interested let me know.

Steve and anyone else interested,
I worked on the TII engine a little this weekend and was able to get the starter to turn the engine over. I am getting solid puffs out of the spark plug holes. The engine sounds good. I'm in the process of replacing all the fuel and vacuum lines that got torched. As far as I can tell right now the motor is good. I'll sell the car "AS-IS" in it's condition right now for $1,900. I took a video of the motor being cranked. I'll have it uploaded to a server later this evening.

Is the battery weak? It seems to me that it is cranking slow. Could just be the difference in engines... Sounds good though. From what I could tell they sounded pretty even.

Yeah battery was probably getting weak. I'm glad someone else thinks the engine sounds good. I thought it sounded good, but needed another opinion. I'm in the process of working some new oil through the engine/housings just to make sure the seals aren't stuck or anything.

*Still looking for a buyer.......should have the title by the end of the week. I'd like to get a good engine harness for it to see if I can get it running. Hopefully the injectors aren't fouled out.
