Fall IA meet?
 

Are we gonna have a fall Iowa meet, or is everyone too busy doing other things. I know my car hasnt changed yet.

I finally got my TII rebuilt and broke in. I'd like to get together for a fall meet.

I'm in VA so I won't be able to attend.

I think we should have a spring and fall at the minimum.

I was thinking that spring and fall would be nice also.

we could meet at midnight mayhem in september. it seems that drift87fc and i are the only ones that go to it, but there are a few other rx-7s there.

Where is Midnight Mayhem? Approximate date?

to tell the truth I KNOW the rx-7 can bring the trophy home for imports if it was like this years.

I'd like to see a rx7 give the domestics a good run for their money.

Where is this? I might show up to the Midnight Madness... not like I have much else going on.

I haven't ran my TII in the 1/4 mile yet. I'm anxious to see how well it performs.

Do you need a valid drivers license to run on the drag strip?

They don't check if its valid or not. The last mm had a few imports running 116mph and then a galant at 130mph. It's probably a 3-4 hour drive for you Syonyk.

I'm all for it as long as i get my engine rebuilt by then. I've been having more trouble with her. :(

I just got my FD repainted...... going to have rims/wheels put on in a week (99 spec 17's). Can't wait for those 275's.

You know. It always happens when trying to show off. I revved it and it popped like it backfired but it was no simple backfire. It's been down for a little over 2 months now. I might be able to start if my brother finishes with his FB this weekend. I'm rebuilding it myself so it shouldn't be down for long once i get started.

how high did u rev it?

I plan on reving mine out to 9k.

carbon build up might have goten u. Didn't that thing only have like 70k on it?

look into the RA seals i've had alot of good success with those.

Maybe 7k. Maybe. it wasn't redline though and not very long either. It has about 66000 on it. We'll see when i get the motor out and taken apart. RA's was what i was looking to get. I have read good things about them.

i have video of the galants running im pretty sure they were all slow well at least i never saw one run 130 the quickest import i saw was a vr4 3000gt running 116 but other than that those galants were slow then i think one even broke down on the track leaked oil all over the place but anyways the more rx7s out there the better

Well, I think we talked to the winner of the import shoot out that night (the supra guy), when I bought that white car. He did a 13.XX from what I remember.

If it involves drifting then Aaron was prolly there. I know he went to a few drift events. Or was this not a drift event?

Eric has my FD now so if anyone wants to take a look it's at his house. He's gonna drive it out to VA in a couple weeks. If anyone has some free time to kill you could drive it for a while..... :) LOL

I wasn't at Formula D but my brother and cousin were. Pretty sweet from what I've heard/seen. You guys should think about coming to some of the local drift events held in Sheridan, Illinois. It's held at a local go-kart track and is put on by www.clubfr.net It's a blast. $100 entry fee.....get to run all day long (8-5) I think the next event is sometime in early September. I'll have my Tein SuperDrifts by then so I'll be running for sure.

that supra guy is my roommate. he should be in the 12s in sept. He bought 550s and a lexus afm so he won't hit fuel cut anymore.
