there are a lot of us in Iowa that do our own builds. Im sure you can relate to the fact that any kind of performance shop is hard to come by in the midwest, let alone a rotary specific one.
I think we have gotten rather good at building engines more out of necessity than anything else.
you may consider building it yourself, if that is an option? Its really not that hard, and can be quite rewarding.
the tools and extra supplies you must purchase for the first build make the price about the same as sending the engine out to have done, but each build after that gets significantly cheaper

We answer our phones, if not will call you back. If you are in a rush we cannot do it however, too busy.
i know i guy in kansas he did my engine i realy like him so far so good on my engine he has a 7 sec car. his number is 913 439 9582 tell the guy kanin gave ya the number he would be glad to talk to you .. he is a very busy guy though so probly have to leave a voice mail
Zavier of Rx7Store in Ohio is where we had our motor built and dyno'd... was an unofficial record on pump back in '08 @ 620rwhp. They had done coutless 500+ builds and a few around 600 since.

There are a several shops in the Midwest, maybe not it your specific state, since the Midwest is a very large area. It is not difficult to ship an engine or car, we have them sent to us from all over the US for rebuilding.
