are you going to premix?

im a little torn between this subject. ive had people have good debates on useing premix, and people have good debates on people aginst premix. im going on the factor that im ganna have to measure out oil to throw in the gas tank every time i fill up the tank. i bet its going to get old quick. and was wondering how many of you guys runing a stand alone are going premix.

thanks
Daniel

I've been premixing exclusively for almost 2 years now. When I get my LT8 In mid-July, I won't have any doubts with the two In conjunction.

I've been premixing for a while, also. It's not as bad as you're making it out to be.

Yeah, it takes a whole minute to fill up a quart and then another minute to dump in half the quart every time you get gas, WHEW!

It isn't hard...I've started after my LT-8 install...

I use the long end of the emergancy seatbelt/sunroof tool to prop open the flapper at the fuel door and pour in the stuff right out the bottle...check the side for amount and pour some more...then pump gas.

I've been visiting this one gas station that a really old guy runs....cool guy....he charges me about 1/2 price for a full bottle of penzoil TCW3

On a previous motor I ran it without the OMP and premix for over 30,000klms without a hassle, and the motor still made good power after all that time.

I don't think that thing would work worth a ****, because the oil is supposed to be mixed with gas and sprayed into a fine mist. might as well keep the regular MOP.

I agree...its still not going to get distributed half as good as it can when its mixed with the fuel and sprayed in through injectors. The OMP basically drips oil in, its under pressure obviously when its injected in via fuel injectors and its going to do a much better job at lubricating. I've been pre-mixing for about 5 months now. You get so use to it, you dont even think about it. As soon as I get the lt-8 this summer, and I'm boosting, on the rebuild, I'll still be premixing!

I have been premixing for over a year & a 1/2. The more time goes on...it starts to get gay, quick.

I am putting in the lt-8, rebuilt S5 J-spec (REspec) ported w/ all the goodys & tons of other stuff, all at the same time. I will not have the time to mess w/ premixing anymore. Gas & go! Hell, sometimes I don't even have time to get gas.

Plus, I am going to let my wife drive the car this time around. She has a nice FB but, I think it's time to let her REALLY go at it. I don't want her to have to mess w/ oil and ****. She's a very girlie woman. You have to love the fact that a woman will be driving a car w/ as much power/mods as My 10th ann. Espeially when she wont be looking at the car as more then a way to get from A to B. The whole time, having about 400hp @ her right foot.

I could keep the stock OMP set up but I want to run synthetic. (after brakeing in the new motor of corse)

I don't see how that adapter >wouldn't< work as long as the rest of your OMP system still does.

Tell me how. I would like ta know.

sweet! that's the way. We build them to no end. They have to here about it the whole time. We !!DRIVE!! em. They just drive em.

She wont ride Holley (CBR900RR) but she does have a Honda 300EX quad & will ride it.

I like the idea of here pulling into wall-mart to pick up some things. Doing it in a car that will eat every other car in the lot & knowing that the dumd *** ricers will be drooling the whole time. But to her......"it's a neat car"

The other day she saw a pan of used oil in the shop. No lie , she said "eewwww" I can't her messing w/ oil & what not. But, I still want to keep using AMSOIL 2-stroke oil in the car.

That's why I'm thinking about that abapter.

could we just like...
use the adapt thing and put normal oil/2 stoke in it.
then we could use moble 1 in our engine right?
becasue to moble1 never get injected in to the engine,
it's only protecting the engine more right?

i think it's a better way...
but ... i know nothing
