Hey guys. Well i think my microtech might have erased some of my stuff. My fc is running funny. When i got into matrix mode, i noticed that my grid is blank other than values going across the top that say "IDLE" and half way down "LOAD". Everything else is blank. How far off will a map be from stock turbo/2.5inch to a large aftermarket/3inch. Im trying to figure out if i have a tuning issue, or a problem with the car.

any values that are blank will be read as the values in the load map. so if they are all blank then you are basically running in normal mode rather than matrix. I actually prefer to keep as many of them blank as possible so that its easier to change them all at once on the load map. i only adjust certain areas like the primary/secondary transition and some of the low rpm values.

Well my car is studdering alot when the secondarys are *supposed* to/are coming online. It misfires and bucks. Would this be caused by missing values? Im going to use the map that is on the the other page with the 60-1 and see if that helps at all.

I'm running 750 primaries and 1000 secondaries, T04E 60/1 ar comp and .96 ar turbine, FMIC, Street port, 3" exhaust, 40mm wastegate, 40 psi with fpr. 15lbs boost. I used HIMNI Racings base map and it was a world of difference. Thanks for posting it. I haven't driven the car yet because of rain, but I will soon. When I get the finished tune off the dyno, I will post the final numbers.

I am still not getting the timing others are getting. The closest I can get is 20*btdc. How do I get to 5* atdc?

Also, is it possible for the oil injectors to be injecting too much oil, or maybe I have it hooked up to the wrong vacuum port? It smokes a too much for my taste. When you see a cloud, thats too much. Driving, its not there, sitting at a light, it starts after a while of idling. When its cold, its not there at all. My next move for this is to remove the omp and pre-mix. I don't believe the motors hurt, because their is simply not enough miles on it to be and I haven't driven that hard.

And my a/f ratio on the hand controller says its idling at 11. Is that good?

the microtech cannot do timing atdc, the closest you can get is 0.

11 is way too rich at idle. I have mine at around 14.5 at idle, but most people have to run about 13 to keep a steady idle, especially if it is ported.

My car is eating alot of fuel on cold startups. I used silver rotor's stock map, and it work great, aside from the richness lol.

10mpg!!

Ok, so I'm running what I believe to be a stock S4 motor with an S5 turbo, running an LTX-8 unit and using premix. My car would fire but not start, and on the rare occasion it did, it would run rough, blow white smoke all over the place, and stall out real easy. Silver Rotor's map didn't change this much, until I leaned the MIX (from the options menu) out to -25%. The car started at open throttle but wouldn't idle and then promptly stalled. Can someone help? Microtech tuners are hard to come by in the Northeast US.

Oh, and I also just adjusted the t*rpm setting to 15 degrees at idle and scaled it up to 25 where it peaked in silver rotors map. Still doesn't start but seems more eager.

Hey pat I may be wrong on this but maybe not... When you do a timing lock and check your timing it's suppose to be at 5 degree's ATDC which means...0 degress is really 5 degree's....and besides if it's not set to 5 degrees and is set to 0 you can always lie to the ecm and retard it with the static...making it possible to run timing ATDC...which for my understanding my renesis runs the leading at 5 degrees ATDC and the trailing at like 15 ATDC

and yeah it can be done..just got to know how the system works and how to alter it.

Go to microtechs website. They have downloadable manuals that will explain all you need to know, and how to go about tuning.
