Staging 550cc pris and 1600cc secs

All,

I was tuning the car last night and runs well under cruise, but bogs down under boost. Everything points to the staging but can't figure it out. Basically, when the secondaries (1600cc) come on, the car bogs. Here are my settings:

Primaries = 550cc
Secondaries = 1600cc

Staging:

Boost = 11lbs
RPM = 3K
% = 99%

What happens:

On 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th - when it meets the below variables, the car bogs.

Boost = 11-12lbs
RPM = 4800-5000

Looking at the logs, my primaries are on maxduty when it meets the 11lbs, 4800k variables (12ms), then the secondaries kick in and dumps to (8.5ms) - this is when the car bogs.

Should I lower the %stage from 99% to 89% maybe and keep lowering from there? Reading the sticky on staging, how can I take out fuel in the lower load points?

At one point on 5th gear, I was going 115mph, then hit 5k rpms and bogged. I was shooting flames for a good 5 seconds.

Please advise.

As always, thanks in advance.

Interesting......I haven't heard of anyone who maxes out their primaries before the secondaries kick in. The MAP stage is usually set at 5" vacuum or 0. The REV stage is set somewhere between 2000-3500 rpms. As for the staging % for your injector sizes, I'm not too sure.........but definitely a high number > the bigger the difference is between your primary and secondary size injectors, the higher the staging % needs to be.

first off ive never heard off waiting till 11 lbs to turn on the secondaries, but he whatever wors. our gonna have to lower the amount of fuel on the fuel map when the secondaries are on. our secodaries are almsot 3 times the size of our primaries and our primaires are on to. so i would suggest taing that number of 8.5 down to at least half and see how the car reacts. personall i would getuse a wideband. (i just broe m eboard plaing a game so our gonna have to ecuse the fact that some letters dont wor)

What turbo are you running and where do you normally hit full boost from 3rd gear on?

I would try raising the revstg a bit to maybe 3500 and then lowering the mapstg to maybe 5psi. Try lowering %stg to around 95%.

Thanks - I will give that a shot. As I pulled in the driveway art 2:00am this morning, I lowered the mapstg to 7psi, but never test drove it. I will raise the revstg and lower the %stg and see.

I'm kinda new to tuning so I appreciate the tips. Thanks to all who replied.

As far as timing is concerned, I'm at 0*. Should it be at least 5* advanced?

Thoughts?

i'd set as follows
REVstg = 3000
MAPstg = 00"
%Stg = %95

then tune for a smooth AFR curve that peaks around 11.4 at 5lbs and holds until peak boost. experiment by lowereing the MAPstg between 7" and 00".
