Rotor 2 has no spark. LT10s

hey guys im sort of new at this =\. i wired up everything and im getting no spark from from leading2 and trailing2. im using the lt10s with the X4 IGBT. im also using four MSD #8232 coils. Ive swapped spark plug cables, i changed coils as well and the other coils dont fire either so its definitely not the coils. i checked that the wires are getting 12v ign. i also checked for continuity from the IGBT but nothing. i also checked for continuity from the CAS plug to the ECU plug. any suggestions =\ could it be that the IGBT is broken somehow?

Did you earth the black wire from the x4 box to your engine block? and solder the connection?

also why are you using msd coils and not bosch coils like microtech recommends?

get a test light and put it on the negative of the coil while some is cranking the car and see if it flashes. if it does not you have burnt the x4 box either due to bad grounding or using incorrect coils.

ive heard other people using that coil. the only thing that cought me of gaurd was that each coil came with three wires. neg ,pos and a ground. also rotor 1 leading and trailing are firing just fine so i doubt its the coil. im going to try the test light and clean the grounds. thnx alot btw

so i tried the test light on the working coils and they flashed like you said but when i did the trailing and leading from the second rotor neither flashed. i checked my grounds and cleaned them thoroughly but i guess its to late?? so im guessing the x4 box got burnt =\

tried again and blew another one. its deffinetly not a ground problem i made sure. it must be something related to the coils. msd 8232. theres one other person on the forum using it but he is using it with the MSD DIS-4 Ignition Controller #62152 could that be the case why i keep fring mines? i wanna get more info. and be 100% sure its the coils before i make a decsion.

this time the car was running i was in the middle of a tuning session. i was just cruising in 4th gear and all of the sudden lost power. the car was running on one rotor (rotor1 not 2 this time). can it be that the resistance in these coils is too low which then builds up resistance and the x4 box burns??? ( 0.09ohm primary- 988ohm secondary)

I did warn you about using those coils.

You need to get rid of them and run the coils microtech recommend.

Bosch HEC 715 coils.

your probably right. but what i want get out of this is knowledge i wanna learn from my mistake. why is it that these coils are blowing my IGBT's is it the low resistence?. is it that extra ground it comes with it?(why does this coil come with three wires. the third is a ground)

well i ended fixing everything i made one igbt box out of the two that i burned. what usually fries is the transistors, diodes, and that intergrated wire in the circuit breaks. so i gathered the remaining working transistors, got new diodes, and ran a new wire were the old one cracked. so far everything works fine. the cause of the problem was the coils they were to low of resistence. i put 4 trailing tii coils and everything is working fine. =D

funny that what breaks in these circuit boards only costs cents to repair. diodes are 13 cents i beliece. the IGBT transistor which is the key part to the board without it theres no trigger is made by the company ON SEMICONDUCTORS. and the model is 15N41CL. its like a dollar a transister. if you burned your box and you get that burnt plastic smell its the trasnsister that basically melts.
