When I spoke to SMP, they said all their tuning work is done by another guy they send their cars out too.

I went to this place and it was an incredible waste of time. Not recommended.

Basically, in the 6 months I've owned my microtech, it seems the only other person in the state of CA id trust with my LT8 is Infini IV. Other then continuing to learn myself and to tune it myself, im getting to the point that im seriously considering transporting the car to Texas to either Steve Kan or RS-Racing. I've emailed Microtechs tech support as well with no answers. Its ridiculous the complete lack of support in the states for this EMS.

^^ Damn, thanks for the word there... but I don't know too much either. I just try to help out people to the best of my ability. I only know as much as the Microtech users manual has allowed me and my short-lived experience with the Lt8 when I had my car.

I think if anything, send a PM or email to people like 10secrx7 or rxeng with your problems. They are people I would ask if a problem came up and I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone else.

The Microtech ecu is rather easy to use. Why dont some of you guys call the place that you bought the unit from??.. they're suppose to offer you at least some support... but of course if you dont know what your doing i would take your car to someone that does!

good luck

I'd just like to once again thank Infini IV and his friend Justin for their help in getting my FC running properly. After double checking the wiring and the microtech settings & functions, they were able to help me isolate and correct the problem. With some wideband tuning, I was able to rev my car past 5000RPM after a one year wait. Again, thanks so much guys! Id highly recommend them to anyone in the area in need of tuning.

I've never dealt with that shop but I had happened to find them on google and was the only one in southern CA that advertised tuning Microtech. Have you dealt with them and why are they "criminal" just curious.

i wont go into all the speculation with the stolen goods, etc...

but i can personally vouch that the guy stole a friend of mine's rotors. he brought in an s5 t2 engine to be rebuilt and upgraded to 3mm apex seals.

what he got back were pieces from an s4 with gsl-se rotors...but get this--he used the s5 counterweights!!! instead of upgrading to 3mm seals, he just used the old rotors and stole the s5 rotors...his s5 turbo too.

pm me and i can send you some pics of might just be one of the worst port jobs i've ever seen!! the line was scribed from a template, but the port didn't come anywhere close to it!

obviously, the motor blew the first time it was revved to 6k rpm...he would NOT honor his proclaimed warranty. so much for a $3k motor!!

i'd avoid that place like the plauge!
