lt8s installed but no start

i just put in my lt8s but my fc doesn't start. it runs fine after push starting but it doesn't want to fire up. i haven't touched the timing yet so could that be my problem? i have spark and fuel but it just doesn't want to fire up.

I have had this problem with my FD. To me it seems like a vacuumleak, maybe you forgot to cap off a nipple somewhere.

i wish that was the problem. i have no rats nest crap and i just checked right now and no vacuum leaks.

also i have my starter wired directly to ignition but i doubt that has anything to do with it.

Have you checked for compression etc? I had the same problem last year, crank but no start. After pull start no problem. Turned out that I left 2 vacuum nipples open at the bottom of the LIM at the engine side. After these were plugged no more problems.

Otherwise check for compression and unflood when necessarry. Does the engine sound like its want to start?
