Houston we have a problem!!

Well boys, we tried to turn the car on today after our little spin yesterday, and it would'nt start. At first it almost started, but It was backfiring alot. We pushed the car out of the shop so the fumes would'nt kill us, and when we tried to star it again, but this time we did'nt even have any spark. We checked the coils, and they where getting power, so I ran a (Config) test. The red light on the ECU bagan to flash and the error code was (RPM).

Anyone know what could be the problem?

Thanks

Luis

Well, we did check the wiring and plug to the CAS and everything seemed to be fine. Is there anything else I can check?

On the install for my car something similar happend. Brandon and Ray can enlighten more about what was going on, but there was a wire to the coils nearest the firewall that was hooked up wrong per the wiring diagram.

That might be the problem. Hopefully brandon and ray will check in and elaborate.

I think I read something about the wiring in an old thread, I'll have to look it up.

Thanks

Value for 0gh is RED............If it's in red, does it mean it's way off?

pull your leads off the coils and throw it in test mode and see if it sparks, if it does you have it right and your plugs are fouled if not it is the wiring to your coils causing the issue,

Brandon and ray dont have net access until they leave AUS now,

Yes! There is Spark in test mode. I've checked the wiring to the coils and CAS with the Diagaram 20 times and it looks to be OK. Remember that the day B4 this hapened the car was runnig perfectly and would start right away everytime. When I put on test mode it gives me a (RPM) error right away. I'm thinking maybe I hit the wrong button somewhere orsomething.

Or maybe while I took a break to eat, one of the guys at the shop said (I wonder what this button does ) and hit a button.
