when your cranking, look to see if the orange light on the microtech is flashing or not only while cranking. if it isnt then thats your problem.

No crank? There are two kinds of "no starts", one where you can't fire it up, and the other where you can't even use the starter.

Error on air means you have a problem with the air temp sensor. It shouldn't affect starting.

Are you getting fuel? Are you getting spark?

My car wouldn't start on old gas either, it putted like it was wanting to start, but it didn't. Then when new gas went in, it fired up.

Mine was also sitting for about year when I went to fire it up. I'm sure that's the problem your having. Is it putting like it wants to start when you turn the key?

If you haven't drained the old gas, do it. That's what I did, so all I had to do was crank out all the old gas.

hell yea dude. changed the gas and spark plugs the thing started right up. it still needs a couple more things before it is perfect. I NEED THE BLOCK OFF PLATE FOR THE SIDE OF THE LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD!! the one that is on it, done by previous owner, is made from **** and doesnt seal so it smokes. but yea, drove the car today and was happy as ****

Glad you have it up and running. Are you talking about that plate that blocks off the thing next to the turbo coolant line?

go to the microtechefi.com forums. There is a sticky there that explains how to have the microtech to a system check so to speak. The ecu acts as the crank angle sensor and will fire all of the spark plugs and injectors. I wasn't getting fuel or spark and it turned out that my crank angle sensor wiring was wrong.

Now if I could just drive it, it idles fine but dies when I push the gas. We are supposed to be able to drive on the base maps right? I bought my Microtech back a few years ago when Jon at RX Engineering set up the maps for the group buy.
