Cranking RPM

Ok well I just installed a microtech LT8s and also a freshly rebuilt half bridge ported engine. Anyhow when I go to start it the Microtech doesn't read any RPM, the CAS is wired up correctly and Stabbed correctly. I've checked this numerous times. Does the MT read RPM at crank? Anyhelp would be appreciated. Thanks
Dominic

watch the lights on the microtech itself, the amber(iirc) light should flash during cranking.

thanks again for the help. The microtech doesn't read rpm's until like 320 or something like that. Well thats when they start to show on the laptop/handcontroler. The light does flash and i've gotten it to start consitantly and idle and such now. Time to start tunning. Anyone have any advice for half bridge tuning? thanks
Dom
