None of the functions work when my microtech is connected? why is it doing this?

what are the specs on the laptop you are using the software on ?

98,2000,xp,vista,7 ( 32/64 bit ? )

Are the LEDs on the ecu flashing ?

 

its 32 bit vista, and only the green light is flashing on the ecu.

 

Green light is okay, thats the ecu getting power.

As for the version of windows. That might be acting up.

I once tried using the microtech software on a vista setup computer and had no luck.

Went with a old school laptop ( windows 98 )and it work well ( after not working with the newer , vista laptop ).

Do you have access to an older laptop ? , if so give that a try. IF not try running a virtual pc or dos box setup . ( those two options work fantastic in the haltech world , but I havent tried it with the microtech side of things ).

i had locked my ecu, its being sent to Australia to be reprogramed.
