Hi guys, i did it easy with only 12psi, made 411rwhp.

Only catch is its not in a rx7, its in a 626.

Dave

p.s. forgot to tell you what specs, lol

20b, with ta51, 3x550cc + 3x1700cc, ltx12, custom plenum, not sure on port job but it has been, tuned by Chris Dalton, Dalton Automotive.
ONly running 12psi, due to drivetrain limitations!

i have made with ltx12 microtech 628hp @`wheels on 19psi with 20b extend port /dowelled engine ta45 turbo.....have run a best of 9.70@146mph......looking forward to going quicker soon.....and it drives like an stock 12a engine.....doesnt miss a beat and regulary street driven around every weekend.....so engine hp would be up too about 850hp i reckon.....cheers......microtech is easily the best rotary computer hands down and is proven so often in oz....you guys will catch on soon and never look back....cheers

just squeezed in

Just dynoed last Friday at 402 at the wheels, at an easy .9 Bar, a very safe 10.x:1 AFR in 80 degree weather. I actually made 390 with more power after the peak (from 7800 to 8500) at .8 Bar with high 11 to 1 AFR ratio. So the engine definitely makes the most power at close to 12:1, but it's good to have a little safety margin.

I will try to post dyno sheet once I have a chance to scan it in. BTW, my FD gets better mileage than stock, just as drivable, with working AC, full boost in 5th at 3200 rpm (T04S). So, I'm pretty happy that after all these years, I finally have the near perfect street machine.

ok huys, it seems everyone in here has more experience right now with the hands on side of playing with the bigger power on a turbo rotary than I do So I got some questions. An engine builder that I know personally will be assisting me with a build up sometimethis year when I have all the money together, This is the setup we will be running on my S4 TurboII. It will consist of a microtech LT8, a T-60-1 turbonetics turbo, 850cc primaries, 1600cc secondaries, stock ignition coils, walbro fuel pump, larger fuel lines, machined out bore on the fuel rails, Malpasi fuel pressure regulator, and various other non power associated things like racegate and BOV. The port he will be using is top secret so I won't know what it is until it's done and I can see it. I guess its to be a suprise. He has used this setup on many cars in the past couple of years with great results, I'm told, and is to be able to yield somewhere in the area of 450rwhp. He lives pretty far so I have'nt been able to take a loook at a dyno sheet yet but I have driven one of the cars he built with this setup. At about 2200rpm in 4th gear the tires broke loose and started spinning when I went W.O.T. Does this number on the hp sound right, I don't know what 400+hp on a 2nd gen would feel like so I couldn't say that it felt like a 400hp beast from experience. It did pin me to the seat though. Anyone ever hear of such horsepower from this kind of setup. Oh I forgot the most important detail, the boost level, it will be tuned to about 10psi and supposedly getting this power of over 400horse. It sounds exciting but I don't want to build it and not have them come. Let me know what you guys think. Thanx

Smile 456 hp 3rd gen

Jon came out here and tuned my 93 7. It has a t72-t68 Tubonetics ball bearing turbo fitted with a custom stainless manifold. The motor was built by speedmachine racing in San Diego (Escondido) CA and has hi comp snap ringed rotors with stock 2mm seals, stage two stationary gears, aggressive street port and the whole motor was cryo treated. Stock throttle bodie and intake manifold (due to SCCA regulations). The motor also has a 49mm inlet restrictor fitted on it (all of the intake has to pass through this tiny restrictor that is 4 inches away from the turbo. And the exhaust meets the 93 DB limit at 50 feet (SCCA regulation), 97 DB is the limit for a street car in CA. With all of this we were extremely happy when the car put down 456 hp and 390 torque to the wheels on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. The Dyno Dynamics reads lower than a Dyno Jet (we are guessing it would put down 470-480 on a Dyno Jet). When it was dynoed we had the 12" slicks on the back along with .5" of toe in (with the toe set a zero and less sticky narrow street tires we would guess the power to be around 15-20 more at the wheels). And the answer you were all waiting for-------- 14.1 pounds of boost, we had it peak at 16 pounds but that was around 5000 rpm. Jon is the man!!!!!! And I love my Microtech, I threw my piece of **** Electromotive TEC3 in the trash!!!!!!

dynoed the car today after solving the issues with the 1600cc sec and the staging,
boost controller supposed to hold the boost at 15 psi, got there only for a split sec and then dropped down to 13 and then to 11psi.
anyway peak rwhp was at 443 and torque was 376 ftlbs.
beside getting another boost controller iam happy with the way it turned out and i think thats all what the first gen is getting. now i have to finish my 20b 3rd gen with ltx12s microtech.
we'll keep you posted.
by the way the car was mainly tuned by george "onefastrx7" and me

I'm dropping in a pair of 1600's right now and going to try and squeeze 390-400 out of the to4b before I go 60-1 hi-fi. That should push it to about 18-20 psi before the t04b falls flate = )

Oh yeah, I drive the car every day.
Thought I'd up date my old post. New HP is 395 WHP with the same set-up above. 100 more HP just from refining the map more & adding a tad more boost. With the GT35R, we hope for plenty more HP @ the same boost and much faster spool. Odd...lager turbo, more HP & faster spool??....only Garrett GT series = )
