zeal to mainboard

i have just completed building the zeal daughterboard and i have wanted to know a couple things but when running jumper wires to mainboard it should be soldered right?
And the connections made between the zeal daughter board and main ms board should they also be connected with soldered jumper wires? and isnt the proto gnd on the mainboard next to the +5v?

Yes, soldered. If you wanted to get fancy you could use little headers with connectors, but regular old soldered jumper wires will do the job.
