GA why my megasquirt ECU is not working

The pics do not give you any appreciation for the texture. Very similar to a mushy and slightly sticky booger.

I have no idea. I bought this engine with a haltech f7c. Ditched that since I did not have a DOS computer. Knew there had to be a problem when the only way it would run on a 2 squirt setting was req fuel of 12 and ve 80. The thing would not rev.

and YES, I DO HAVE A FUEL FILTER ON THE CAR and YES I FLUSHED MY LINES BEFORE I HOOKED IT UP.

I have backflushed all four injectors. I hope that fixes this crap since the first autocross of the year is in 2 weeks.

Wow... that is quite the mess. The filter is on the line going to the rail, not the return, correct? I think it may be time to change it.

Between the tank and pump. It is a new filter. I think this may have something to do with why he sold the engine.

I've seen similar debris in marine applications due to older fuel line being exposed to ethanol containing fuel after years of no-ethanol service. The inside layer of the fuel lines turned into a very similar substance that clogged jets, etc., in carbed applications.
