Megasquirt A Thought
A Thought
OK so I had a thought the other day about trailing ignition. On 1st gens, GSL-SE only, the traling igition controls the firing of the injectors and the tach. When one the motor would flood, a realy simple way of unflooding them would be to unplug the negative lead on the trailing coil. this stopped the injectors from firing. crank the motor over ome and plug it back in. start it up and drive off. So instead of building a second VR sensor, would it be posiible to run the trailing ignition off the injectors? might be a dumb question? there wouldn't realy be any reason to run it like this, just wondering if it's possible.
it's not possible at all with the megasquirt. The megasquirt doesn't time the injections the same way, so you'd end up with trailing firing before leading in most cases... and with a distributor based ignition, you'd probably end up with some other weird things going on too.
