ECU Plug also AC and Cruise questions

Couple of questions as title suggest.

First , does any one have the actual pin designation for the S4 ECU plug. I was able to scrounge up an S4 ECU female plug (socket) only, however since its not attached to an ECU I`m not sure which pin is which. Now I`ve been able to locate in the FSM on pg 50-29 items marked F-31, EM-31 and EM-03 that I believe are correct for the pins. I would like to be sure that what I see on paper is the same thing I`m seeing as I look into the open female plug of the ECU.

Second, My `86 GXL has working AC and Cruise, among other things. After looking at the wiring diagrams It appears to me that in order for these to operate correctly the factory ECU must be used. If that is the case there is no point in me making a plug n play wiring adapter that will let me remove the factory ECU and run only on my MS1/MSnSE. Is this correct? ( if this IS correct then #1 is a mute point)

Hey Muythaibxr, I`m still waiting for you to respond to a few questions in this post.

Thanks Muythaibxr for the response in the other post.

Do you or anyone else have the answer concerning the ECU Socket Pin Designation, A/C, Cruise Control question?

TIA

I believe that's you need the stock ECU for cruise, but I'm not positive...

For AC, you should be able to run without the stock ECU as long as you're controlling the BAC and using closed-loop idle speed control.

What about the ECU socket pin out. Do I have the correct pages in the FSM? Am
I looking at the correct connectors, F-31, EM-03 and EM-31? Do the diagrams reflect what I`m looking at as I look INTO the socket (from the outside of the ECU)? Just trying to be as careful as possible, you know what they say, "measure twice , cut once".

4a-30 to 4a-34 are the pages in the S4 FSM that have the pinouts for the S4.

The diagrams on those pages reflect what you see if you're looking at the ECU from the outside, or the plugs from the back when they are plugged into the ecu.

Many thanks, that is what I was looking for. I believe the pages I referenced show the same thing only with wire colors indicated. Thanks again for confirming!!!!!!!!!
