ok im getting really frustrated with my ms and megatune. i have ms2 with v3 board. i have followed aaron cakes website of how to do every thing i bout this megasquirt used and i had my car running on it once but when i went to tuning part to upload aarons base maps the ve table one would be in a light grey color and you can not click on it. so i thought something was messed up so i went in an updated my ms2 well i must have did something wrong because now the car wont run. i still cant look at my ve table 1 in megatune. everything is so messed. the only thing i can look at in megatune is the fuel set up and general. in general what is the displacement and every thing suppost to be set to. i just want my car running. i have tuning studio and megatune both downloaded and i have communication with them. so i just need to know how to work the rest of the firmware stuff need someone to explain to me how to do things step by step

 

The Megamanual contains detailed firmware flashing instrutions. I'd suggest reflashing the latest MS Extra firmware and then following the instructions to configure Megatune (or Tuner Studio) to start from scratch.

 

ok started from scratch and everything is great except ignition stuff when i set the trigger wheel setting to dual wheel i loose all my rpm and nothing with read. but if i turn it back to single wheel with missing teeth it works again? can i run it like this or whats going on

what you advise, ms2extra pre3.3alpha5 gslender v2.7, or only ms2extra pre3.3alpha5.

I have on the ecu the 3.1.1, but not tuned or complet instaled on the car.

everything is set to your right up aaron but when i go to dual wheel i loose all rpm i put it back to single wheel with missing teeth then i get rpms back. any clue

 

You should run the latest firmware available for your ECU. Firmware is here:

About 3/4 down the page. For the rotary you want to run MSExtra on MS1/MS2. MS3 doesn't have an "extra" firmware, it's all baked into the standard firmware.

Then there is something wrong with the way the CAS is connected, or your 2nd VR conditioner circuit.

 

the vr conditioner circuit is modified and so is the cas. the car attemps to start but it just wont fire up all the way really close though

 

Can you perhaps post a complete rundown of your setup?

How is the VR conditioner modified? Why?

How is the CAS modified? One tooth cut out and running a single wheel?

 

walbro 255 fuel pump. s5 engine. 720/830 injectors.rajay turbo.bov.wastegate.hks avcs. innovative lc1 wideband.
i dont know how the vr has been modified but yes the cas has two cut teeth 180 deg off each other. im talking to the guy that built it now to get some setting and maps and everything he has for it now.
if push comes to shove ill fix the vr board and then get another cas.

 

If you have two teeth cut out of your CAS, then you only have one VR circuit and the 'Squirt needs to be set up for missing teeth, not dual wheel.

See, this is the problem with buying used known Megasquirts from someone whom may or may not have known what they were doing when they set it up.

Find a tuner familiar with rotarys and the Megasquirt.
