Narrow PW. Change number of squirts?

I set the number of squirts on my 13B to 4. The thing is running fairly decent except that since the change I've started noticing the AFR dropping below 9 for a few second every minute or so. And at idle, the PW is only 1.8ms or so.

I'm wondering if doubling up on the number of squirts is asking to much of the 460cc injector's pintel, causing it to get stuck periodically and I should back it back down to 2.

Bummer to, cause I've finally got this VE table dialed in.

If I change the number of squirts, can I just multiply the whole table by two and be exactly where I am now, except for the effects of opening time?

that sounds more like AE triggering or something. Do you have a datalog?

No, changing the number of squirts to 2 will automatically double the pulse-width, so really the *only* thing you have to have right to get that to work is the opening time. You might also have to retune the lower parts of the table too due to the low pulse-width being in a non-linear area of injector operation when running 4 squirts.

I changed the number of squirts to 2, and the engine picked right up and ran fine. Ran autotune for a minute or so, and it wanted to change only a few bins, and not very much at that. I don't think I ran it long enough to see if the AFR was still dropping down to 9, as I've got an oil leak that I'm trying to contain.

Here is a log, and I'll update this thread about the AFR dropping after I get the leak corrected.
