Question Lost Sync Reason 2 - 16 counts

Hello everyone! I've had an interesting journey with CAS on my FC RX7. When I first bought the car it had a misfire, after the Sync Loss counter which was at 54 I bought a new CAS. After installing and timing it correctly it ran a lot better but still had sync loss reason 11. Last night I decided to convert my setup to a missing tooth, I kept the upper wheel and sensor intact but changed my settings in tuner studios to the following:

12-1
Crank speed
Angle 1 - 60
Falling edge

I started the car this morning, it started fine with no problem but initially had 16 counts of lost sync reason 2. I shut it off and connected my timing light since I forgot to do that and lost sync went down to 4 counts of reason 2. I can hear the car buckling ever so slightly but no pinging. Additionally, the timing at -5 was off and when adjusted it to 0 it was perfectly on time.

I know that reason 2 is missing tooth at wrong time, so my question is; is the upper wheel messing with things, and should be taken out? Is the car just out of time with the CAS? Did I not cut the teeth enough?

Any advise would be extremely helpfull, thank you all!
