You'll need the latest 029 firmware if you have an ms1, with the ms2, you'll want the 1.0.2 firmware.

Then you'll need to go through all your settings configuring it for the rotary engine.

HELP!
What I have found is that if you cannot find a feature or settings window in Megatune it is likely that whatever firmware you intend to run hasn't actually been loaded or the .ini files haven't been activated in the Configurator for the firmware that you're using. It would be more helpful if you tell us what your MS setup is (2nd vr, single vr with modded CAS, what version firmware, etc).

Are you familiar with downloading the latest code? It would be a good idea to download version 029y4. Make sure it is downloaded properly and also cycle the power to your MS. Then you have to open and run the "copyini" subfolder that comes with the downloaded firmware, it should be in the Megasquirt folder under 029y4. That will send the correct .ini file to Megatune. Then open Megatune, then Configurator, find the 029y4 in the list, click once to highlight it, click File, then Activate. Then, double-click the 029y4 in the list, go to "settings.ini" then Code Variant. In the drop-down at the top of the page, select "James Murray and Phil Ringwood's MSnS Extensions" (i think that's the one) then click Idle Controller and choose the one that fits your setup. Then click on Lambda and choose the o2 that fits your setup. Make sure you cycle the power to your MS (reboot). This should make your settings windows appear in Megatune so you can set everything up. Keep us posted. And Ken, let us know if I made any errors in this post.

i downloaded the latest code but not sure how to put it in.i cant seem to see this copyini subfolder?
can you go into more detail on the pathing of the file?i was thinking of just moving the file manually to its correct location. or will that not work?

example

C:/megasquirt/MGtune/029y4

That's one way to do it. On my pc, I go to My Computer, then Drive C, then Program Files, then Megasquirt folder, then Ms1extra029y4, then copyini.bat then open Megatune and open the configurator like I said earlier. I have Windows XP, so the paths should be the same.

ok new update . i got the new software working on the labtop and put in most of the maps that i can find.

does anyone have a link or a spark table and a fuel VE table ? for a 500cc injectors and for a turbo stock motor. and is this motor considered a 2600cc motor?

here are the tables that i have no idea what to put.these are the titles of each window for inputs..

Cranking/Prime Table
After Start Enrichmeny [ASE] Settings
Spark Settings

rx7 88 turbo 2 motor
stock turbo '10 psi'
550cc injectors trail and leadings
stock fuel pump
narrow band o2
GM air sensor
GM water sensor
ford TPS
modded CAS

having megasquirt run my spark and fuel.

Click on Communications and check your COM port settings and baud rate. I think when you install Megatune it defaults to COM4 which is likely not your port. Most laPtops use COM1 but you can click the Test button in that window to check if it's communicating on whatever port you chose. If you downloaded ms1 code, the baud rate is 9600. For ms2, it's 15200.
