Full range TPS necessary?

Will a full range TPS be necessary or will the stock one (GSL-SE, S4 N/A) work well enough?

Just going naturally aspirated, speed-density algorithm.

i've been kind of wondering the same thing. I've been running MS for a while now with no TPS and its a lil hard to tune to say the least.

You should be able to use MAPdot, and not use a TPS at all.

I don't think the stock ECU uses the narrow range for anything but letting the computer know that the secondary throttle plates are opening.

You should be able to use MAPdot if you experiment with it enough.

I have been using the stock narrow range TPS for the last month now and have not really run into a situation where I found myself needing a full range. Sometimes driving on the I-15 raceway it would be nice to have full range to push EGO correction a little higher, but I don't think it's necessary.

I have been using tpsDOT for around town driving and have not touched mapDOT yet. Honestly both driving and in my logs I have not really found anything wrong with not using it so I probably won't play around with it until I find myself needing it.

The only reason I would see the reason for a full range tps would be for the tps% based boost controller. Other than that you dont need it.

Is MAPdot something I need to upgrade the firmware for?
