expected idle PW

What should I be expecting my idle PW to be roughly ? v3 029q2 680cc @ 43.5psi

I idle about 2.0 to 2.1ms when warm, with 550 primaries and stock fuel pressure (~40 psi base).

BTW, have you had those 680's flow tested? They likely flow more like 720-730 at 43.5 psi (3bar). The whole 680/720 bit is forum folklore as near as I can tell. FSM says GSL-SE injectors flow 173 cc/15 seconds at 39.7 psi, or 692 cc/min. Multiply this flow by sqrt(43.5/39.7) to get nominal flow at standard 43.5 psi fuel pressure = 724 cc/min. This coincidentally is what's been reported by a number of users who've had them flow tested.

So, in your case, assuming opening time of 1.0 ms, expect an idle pulse width of about (2.1 - 1.0) * 550/724 + 1.0 = 1.84 ms. You may want to look at the hi-res code option, which should help idle tuning tremendously with those injectors. Details here: http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=18741&highlight=

Yep, no ****. I just got a pair I picked up on the forum back from WitchHunter.
One flows 704 the other flows 724 at 3bar. within 2.9% which is OKAY but not perfect. I`m still debating on looking for another pair although I`ve been told they will be ok as secondaries.

Thanks Renns, I've read the rumours about them flowing but didn't want to start a debate so just stated 680 For my purposes i'm rating them at 720. I've looked at the high res code, but im not sure what to set the opening time to for my injectors, or is it just a matter of trial and error ?

I have to recheck my wb02 wiring tonight since last night when workign on idle, I wasn't seeing much deviation in ms which could be causing me trouble setting the idle. I remeber reading that if I turn off the EGO correction (i think) it will make it easier to set the idle is that right ?
