i just completed building my second megasquirt. I seem to have a problem of the thing resetting when it cranks. the probability of a tach signal problem is low. it resets with the tach wire disconnected. i'm guessing its either a power or a ground problem. it resets as soon as the starter goes. am i getting noise from the starter? and is it affecting my voltage to MS? or could it be a wiring or internal problem in the MS? however the first megasquirt works fine in the same car. hmmm....i musta missed something internal huh?

 

just a thought but when you have 2 different circuits on your car, one for cranking and one for running. if you have the ecu power wired into just the running circuit but not the starting circuit this could happen. jsut a thought.
