My FC has a T04s 60-1, haltech, 1600cc and 720cc injectors, Spearco FMIC, mild street port, ect. I was running 12 psi.

From the dig, I bogged incredibly bad with the borrowed drag radials and shut down early because of that car that is coming. I wouldn't have passed him anyways, he beat me too bad off the line. First race winner: STi

No brake boosting on the roll races, 30-120 in less than 10 seconds. On the first race, he jumped the gun slightly. The second race is a good one though.

Roll race winner: RX-7
Good races, my friend.

People don't give STis enough credit for being incredibly fast. I thought they were slow too until I rode in one with an experienced driver who knows how to use AWD to his advantage.

I love this thread.

Yes, AWD cars have more drivetrain loss than RWD or FWD cars, but I fail to see how that means that they can't be fast from a roll.

Both of our cars were pretty damn fast, I challenge you to go 30-120 in 10 seconds. (Without brake boosting)

Sombody call CalTech....he knows the two cars and even did an oil change on one of them. Im sure you could come give a lecture and tittle it "Spoolin Spec V's personal experience disproves Physics". Im sure it would draw a larger crowd than Stephen Hawkings did this week.

I actually still dont even know what you were trying to prove. But thats typical...

He didn't prove anything. Some of you skeptics for some reason think that my old car should have stomped that STi, even though it didn't. Well, its stupid to bench race and talk about peak hp numbers and power/weight ratios when obviously they don't tell the whole story, because at the time both of our cars were running good and strong and the video shows the results of a race.

He was just trying to point out that he knows both of us and knows both of the cars.

Seriously, this is why I stopped posting on this forum because there are way too many D-bags that live in la-la land and think that they know better than anybody else in the world.

Which is why I'm going to stop arguing in this thread, and this will probably be my last post on this God-forsaken forum!

This is the STI owner checking in. There was nothing wrong with Doty's car...there's no need for the bench racing nonsense.

The STi had Utec with my own map. I was sponsored by a shop with a mustang dyno at the time so I had plenty of time to tune it on a nice conservative map which was setup for massive torque and mild HP.

Engine Management
Header
Ported Exhaust housing
Turbo-back
Water injection
K&N filter

304 whp 358 lbs tq on 17 PSI

The short gearing of the STI is what helped. I had probably around 100 passes at the local track and found my optimal shift points which kept me in the fat power band. I was shifting at 6k so that I could take advantage of the torque. quick shifting and short gears allowed me to hang decently.

Doty's car was still badass anyway you slice it. He put several lengths on a car that trapped 109.43 mph in the 1/4. On higher boost he should have been trapping 115ish. I'd say that night it would have been 112-113.

Carry on bench racers.

I don't believe that's all you had. There is NO way your car could beat a 400whp RX7, even on a bad day. STi's are slow, even mildly modded with water injection.
