Hopefully this thread will be kept short. Tell us what you were running with your mods. Were you caught of guard?

 

I was in my NA at the time, and it was at a stop light. We just got done with a goof 'race' while traveling around. I knew this light would be our stopping ground. But when I stopped, I noticed he stopped odd...his front was at my rear bumper. Before I could even think about it, he gunned it and ran. Of course, this was before the light hit green, so when it DID hit green, he was passing the line. Of course, I start at the green, and he smokes me. He was just laughing and pointing at me...I was just a bit confused at his mentality there, lol.

 

In my first 87T2, bone stock; at the local spot in SA (1604 at the Marine lot) I line up with a really clean older celica. It had a t2 style hood, big exhaust, and a ton of other things I was too nieve to notice. We roll off a stop sign and it's even down low in first, then he starts pulling and never looked back. We lined up again and he was just playing with me... We parked back at the marine lot and chatted. This dude had spent some $$ turboing this thing.

 

It was an SRT-4, my first ever street race in the seven. He followed me through a highway interchange, then pulled up and asked if I wanted to go. went from a roll at about 60ish He honked twice and didn't honk a third time, just went; so by the time I got going he was a half length ahead (I was expecting a third one for some reason?). He wasn't pulling on me though, I just got a bad start. I'd say it was about equal.

a fair race where neither vehicle missed a shift and had a good run? i have not lost yet. i havnt raced anyone but my close friends. rsx,evo8,rx-8.


i lost to said rsx when i bogged at start, and then went from 2nd to 5th, lol. he had a great run, and his car is pretty dang fast anyway.

i really think my buddies evo should be walking me, but i consistently beat him, sometimes bad. i think theres something wrong with it.

 

My car does very poorly until it warms up. It hates any boost when it's cold. That in itself just makes things difficult...

 

Got to a light and this Integra GSR pulls right next to me and I look at the guy and he looks at me and kind of does the "What's up Vato" Nod light turns green and I can hear his VTEC popping and I just couldn't keep up with him from the start....We then went from a 3rd gear roll and I was able to keep dead even with hin Till I got to 5th.... I love our 3rd gear....

I race an 80s malibu w/ a 95 Mustang gt/stock 5 speed and got smoked. Oh an a Lebaron. WTF!
