RX-7 vs. S2k
what do you guys think? my 93 TT FD (apex'i super intake system, full bonz 3" exhaust with a racing beat dual tip, full streetport motor, 3mm apex seals, power FC tuned by rotary performance, greddy pulley kit, stage 2 clutch, denso fuel pump, 850cc injectors all around, and a greddy 3pc intercooler piping kit, stock twins, stock IC, just to name a few) vs a newer model S2k with intake, exhaust tips and a 75 shot. do you think with the 75 shot i would still kill him? i know he's not even close without the spray.

Stomping would not even begin to describe the race. Even with the spray he would be putting down less power than a supercharged one. Maybe if you were stock it would be somewhat worth asking, but you are good to go!

While your racing ask him if all your taillights are working, becuase thats all he will see. You might also want to check your turn signals... you will have plenty of time.

he told me if he didn't get me on the first run, he would use the spray and walk me on run #2. i played the cocky douchebag card and told him just to use it from the get go. i make close to 320rwhp and the way i figure it he makes close to 240-250 with the spray . so thanks for the input. i'll let you guys know how it turns out. hopefully he will want to go for some cash, you know how honda kids are.

S2k are nice cars and I really wouldn't mind owning oneif I didn't have the FD but unless you have a built engine and forced induction, they just a nice car to go crusing and rape little civics. I've got a friend with a fully built engine and turbo'd running 578WHP but then again hes rich as hell and has the money. O yeah thats his 3rd engine, the other 2 weren't built at all. If you have the money s2k are just as good in my book, they can handel, not that heavy, and plus its a roadster. I would to have a convertable.

Good luck.
Good luck.
Stock Ap1's (00'-03') won't even put down 200 at the wheels on a good day. A newer model will put slightly over 200, and with bolt-ons maybe put 210. I would say it's no match.

nah, the intake and catback only nets about 10 more hp. my buddy's got a 2001 s2k and running an intake and no cats and he only got about 17 more whp. with the 75 shot he'd be runnin about 280-290 at the wheels. it may be close, but the gearing on the rx7 would win out. stock for stock the cars are similar in power (220 to 210, rx7 to s2k) and from a dead roll my buddy's car would keep up till 80 then I'd walk away from him.
edit: if he's running 12psi or more, he'd be making over 290whp in the rx7, it would walk away from that s2k.
