Ran a 06 Stang GT

ok last night i was heading to my house to pick up so tools for my freinds 5spd swap on his vert. the road was almost empty being 11:30 pm i slowly passed a sliver o6 stang i was gawking at it and i know for a fact the driver of the stang saw me. right after i got ahead f him i heard him rev up so i droped into 3rd and away we went. now i'm not going to lie and say i handed him his a$$ but it was so much closer than i thought it would be.he pulled 3 car lengths on me before slowing down t make his turn. figured in the same space he pulled 3 lengths he would have pulled 5-6 lengths so im plesantly surprized.

Mods:
Stang: american racing touque thrust wheels, visual add ons, flowmaster exhast

1990 Mazda RX-7 GXL:5spd swap Auto rear end,Miata Short throw shifter.

Your car has the exact same **** as mine (auto 3.90 diff, miata short throw shifter) except I have full catless exhaust, removed A/C, CAI, and an EXEDY stage 1 clutch- that setup got me a best of 17.02 @ 86mph with a conservative launch. I'm willing to bet that the stang you ran was either a V6, or he wasn't really pushing it because they are mid-low 14/high 13 second cars.

Mid 13's easily. Low 13's for those who are competent drivers. The numbers you stated are more appropriate for a 99-04.

God Bless,
