Wow how stupid can they be. Why would they ruin a FD when they could have threw it into a FB and weighed an extra 400-500 pounds lighter. What morons...

And why do you think anyone even cares what you think anymore. You're just an ingnorant POS. At least the v8 swap guys keep the weight distribution close to stock and the handling optimal.

im no automotive genius or anything, but when i googled up crank walk, all the first page results came up with mitsubishi/talon/laser results which apparently all have the same engine....now considering that if you just google crankwalk, and come up with these results, obviously something isnt too good about the engine.

im a rotary guy through and through but i do have an AWD talon as my daily and the cars arent bad as long as you dont beat on them all the time. ive had mine for 2 years and no problems and its lightly modded. i will say i pulled on an FD by a car that runs around my town but im sure its all stock. as much as i like my talon im probably gonna try to get a t2. but dont underestimate the 4g63 motors. very venerable to upgrades and you can be running low 12's easy daily with just a few bolt on's. i dont b/c i drive like an old man

its not webster, but its funny

http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...term=Crankwalk

"My dsm crankwalked on me, but thankfully my dsm has broken down often enough to make me a real mechanic."

"Something that DSM drivers get when they become too cocky and decide to race a actuall import, like a honda or VW. It is a out of spec moving of the crankshaft (perticaully in 7-bolt 4G63s)side to side and WILL destroy your engine

Yo dogg, meh clips got some crankwalk and that teg owned meh"

i'm not defending any engines here but this whole crank-walk thing is on a 7bolt engines. not many guys run those in their street/race setup.

so saying "crankwalk" every time an ex-civic driver spouts off dsm-blah... throwing crankwalk in his face doesn't mean anything if the guy is using a 6bolt engine. that crankwalk only relates to the 7bolt engines.

i dont like those kiddo's or their ******* engine swaps into a civilized race car (FD). but come on.. pick some else other than "crankwalk" to throw up in their faces.

Dude, that is pretty ******* amazing, all in all. Kudos to your commitment and vision to this project.
-1 to continually bashing the 13BREW though. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but I am reminded of the Texas fan that went into the Oklahoma bar and paid dearly.....

It just isn't good form, you know?
Anyway, good luck on your project and (in a politically correct way) keep us informed.

Have you ever seen a rotary dyno graph? Furthermore, neither of my sevens have ever been sidelined due to motor related problems, just due to rubber failing. (rad hose, brake master cylinder)

I find this thread really funny. Its really funny b/c I own/owned many cars that ALL come with stereotypes and good/bad things lol. Right now i own a 5.0 s/c nitrous mustang, a turbo cressida (supra powered), and a Tii fc. I have worked/built a 6bolt in a 1gen (dsm) and help my other friend build his 4g61 (eventually 4g63) colt. I've owned handbuilt 11 sec civics, s/c ls400, supra's, tt 300zx, gc8, 67 rs maro, iroc, bikes, etc etc blah blah... NO MATTER WHAT, you always run into haters. I laugh when people hate what i. The one i laugh at the most is the import/domestic feud.
