Got a good news and bad news.

Bad News first:
The package was delivered today but arrived with a hole in it (and obviously several products got damaged) so we were really pissed and rejected the package. We got the factory manager on the phone for an hour or so and finally got something settled. And now comes the good new.

Good news:
The factory manager agreed to refund the shipping cost to us so we are passing them onto everyone who already placed an order with us since we are really sorry to every customer who has been patiently waiting for the arrival of this shipment.

So here are the two options we offer:
We will offer an additional $25 off for those who already placed a deposit so it is equivalent a 50% off on shipping. Another option would be we will offer a $50 credit coupon code that you can use on anything listed on our online store. If you only want to purchase the lip from us then you can choose the $25 off. If you plan on purchasing anything else from us in the future, the $50 coupon code would be ideal and you can use it on anything.

Again, we are frustrated by this incident as well as all of you who is currently on the list and we will try our best to get the factory to send over the new shipment asap. They said that they will check all the products once the shipment is returned and they will produce the replacements right away. The new ETA is end of August since there will be approximately 5-7 days transit time before the factory can receive the returned shipment.

we are already on back order for one twill weave lip since one buyer changed his order recently from plain to twill. So if you want the extra unit in plain, we still have couple extra left for grabs. If you want two twills, then you will have to wait for the next batch.

 

sexy as hell.. uses the same holes as the authentic one? im interest but not modifying appearence yet.. but when time comes id deffinately take one in a heartbeat.

 

thanks and glad you like our product. Yes, this is an exact replica and we used BRAND NEW (again, brand spanking new) Genuine OEM 99 spec lip as our mold. The OEM lip we used to make our mold was not even taken out of the bag until they arrived at the factory. So yeah, they are definitely 100% identical to the OEM lip.

 

Announcement:

Sorry for the late update, been trying to get as many packed as possible yesterday. The shipment came in and are getting prepped for shipping. However, the factory messed up the box dimension when they assumed the 99 spec lips are similar size to the FC S5 lips we also offer. So they did not custom make us some boxes just for the 99 spec lips. So we end up have to combine two boxes together to pack one lip so it will take us some time but we are trying our best to get them packed and shipped asap for everyone.

Also forgot to mention one thing we have changed slightly for the structure of the lip. After test fitting the sample, we realized one downside of the one piece design, it is too rigid on both ends and wont flex too much. This rigidity might result in easy cracking and minor fitment issues. If you have fitted a stock 99 spec lip on a 93-95 bumper, you know that the 99 spec lip mounting surface on the two sizes are slightly angled and that makes it a little difficult to mount the lip perfectly, but it will still work on stock lip since it is flexible urethane. But for CF unit, we realized it was a bit difficult since the mounting surface will not bend or flex as mush as the urethane and it might result in a minor fitment issue and over time it could damage the CF lip. That might be one of the main reasons why the stock 99 spec lip was designed to be a two piece. But for carbon fiber lips, 2 piece is also not and ideal design due to the several reasons we have mentioned before. After working with the factory technicians, we figured out the ideal structure for making this lip a little flexible but also still remain in one piece. We used two separate molds just as making a two piece, then we molded the joint together so it will be a one piece. That way, the entire lip is much more flexible at both ends since it is not made of continuous CF cloth. This will help fitting the lips, especially on a 93-95 bumper.
