Rx8 Virginia owner now rx7 owner
Hey guys my name is Chris and I'm from Richmond, Va. After owning a 1991 Toyota Mr2 Turbo for a couple of years I sold it and drove a regular VW golf as a daily driver and became tired and knew I needed something more exhilerating. So after some research and literally after a test drive of the rx8 r3 model I took the plunge and got a brand new 2011 rx8 r3. I knew the moment I drove it I was a rotary fanboy for life!! :p.
Gathering up 5,500 miles later in 5 months time I learned more about the engine and then started to meticulously take car of everything. At 5k miles I decided to change the mt transmission & differential oil and changed the oil every 3k miles and almost redline everyday at 9k :p. I read about the 13B-msp and came to a conclusion to keep it stock but heavily missed the kick from a Turbo when i owned the mr2.
Now comes the day that I am now a proud owner of an siI rx8 r3 and a '93 rx7!! I will hopefully put pics of them together side by side soon so dont be jealous haha.
Anyways my plans for the car first and foremost are to do reliability mods. Then after some time I will put more $ into the car and turn the boost up but for now it will be my weekend car and the rx8 will be my DD. Thanks guys for listening and I hope there are some RVA owners and maybe we can talk sometime. I am still new to the rotary scene and are learning things everyday and plan to use this board when I have the time! Appreciate everything in advance!
