RX7 veteran who don't know squat
Hello. My name is Ronnie. My first RX7 was a '78. Drove it till the oil seals blew and traded it in on an '88 convertible. You'd think after all these years I'd be a mechanical whiz on them, but no. As the '88 is beginning to fail in various areas, I hope to get enough info to keep it going without the help of a dealership or mechanic. I live in NC, and am a retired engineer and Viet Nam vet.

Hello sir! A really helpful tip to keep a rotary going is to warm it up. Whatever the situation or weather like is outside, always warm up your car before taking it from point A to point B. This can prevent cracking or breaking of the apex seal.
