CA Returning to Mazda after an 8 yr hiatus!

Hello, I'm glad to see you all! I'm an "Old timer" with Mazda but have been away for a while. I worked as a Mazda tech in a Mazda dealer for 10yrs(1972 - 1982), became a Mazda service manager for 17yrs(1982 - 2001), went to work at a GM dealer, which is where I am now. I also autocrossed, raced IMSA-RS and Pro SCCA(RX2,GLC,GSL-SE,FC RX7 Sport) from 1979 - 1988. So why am I here now???...You ask???

Well I just aquired a 1981 RX7 GSL that has been in my family since new! As you can see, I'm very excited about it. I can tell I'm in the right place and I am certian to gain a lot of info from you all and hope I can contribute some info as well. While the car is not pristene, it is in good shape. It could use a paint job, but it is not urgent. It drives just like I remember it. In fact it is a "twin" of my own '81 RX7 GSL that I had at the time. You see, this car belonged to my wifes "twin" sister and we had the other "twin" car! So, you see, it's like I got my old car back again after I sold it 23 years ago.

So, anyway...I'm diggin' it!!!

Thanks to all. I am now trying to get her smogged...this is Kali, and she failed twice. I'm pretty sure it's the air control valve or something.
