I just picked up an 86 rx7, i think a sport or gxl. It's five lug and five speed and has power nothing. The body is in good shape, the interior is shot. (dash solution anyone?) I got the engine running. (thanks to helpful threads on this forum.) Holy crap this thing is loud. I'm a former honda guy. (no 3 foot tall wing and NOS sticker with no nitrous) My dd is a '00 hundai elantra and I wanted something with more power and potential in a rwd configuration. Free Rx it is. Truthfully I would have paid $1000 for it. HAHAHAHAHFREEFREEFREEFREE

welcome to the forms. as for the dash, it depends on how bad it is. If it's just faded there is paint stuff you can get, if it's worse start looking in the for sale section and at your local junk yards for a replacement.

 

thanks for the welcome. as for the dash, it is shot and there are no good dashes in any local junkyards... and I kinda dont wanna end up in the same boat again in a couple years, so i'm hoping I can find something a little newer that i can finesse in there.

 

well, I'm fairly sure you can buy a new dash from a Mazda dealership...but it's not going to be cheap.

 

I dont have any extra arms or legs for them. I know they will be ready with their saws.

if it's got no power options it's the base model.

mine has power everything and a factory LSD. not sure on urs tho.
