Reading Rotary...

Hi,

I'm Rich.

I live in Charleston, SC. I'm interested in reading about rotary cars. I work as an Aerospace Engineer, so I can appreciate innovative and interesting Engineering.

I previously restored a 1967 Mustang. After awhile, I wanted something different, and got into Japanese sports cars with a 3000GT. Now I'm doing some research to try a new restoration product with a different Japanese car. The 3000GT was a wonderful car. But I have the itch for something faster and sportier, and I guess more impractical! So I'm here reading things that might be useful for a car that I might be interested in.

There is a book written in the 80s on the development of the mazda rotary. Has a lot of formulas on how the peritrochoid shape was created and the reasons behind the design. It's called "Rotary Engine" by Kenichi Yamamoto.
