Just traded for my first rx7. traded an old project eclipse for this 1985 rx7 12a with racingbeat intake, holley 600, racingbeat exhaust. Car barely runs at the moment ,but hope to gain a little knowledge from the site and make it run right so everyone here will quit telling me to swap in a V8.

welcome to the club. what's the PO say bout the "barely running" issue? if it's a stock 12a that 600 is too much for it. the one RB sells for stock engine is a 465. check out the SE section to find those close to u that just might be able to give u a hand. i see it has PW so i take it it's a gsl? if so, it also gives u disc rear and lsd.

I traded it not running and was able to get it at least started. It sits at 4k rpms when it starts and if i gas it then it will instantly bog down. I told the PO that the 600 was just to big for it being not bridgeported. Its a gsl everything works like it should, but the windows are a little slow. Interior though is immaculate for its age.

That's a good find/trade. when i picked mine up the driver's seat was falling apart and all the interior trim had cracks in it.

Ya so far im pretty happy with it even though it isnt running right im loving the pre emissions stuff. This is the first car i have ever owned older then a 1990.

Quick question.. What is the little **** in middle of the console that has like a left, right, top, down.. ? What does it even do?
