New Guy from WI, Recently Added an FD to my Mazda Garage
Hi Guys I am glad to finally own my dream car.
I have been a long time enthusiast of Mazda's
I purchased my first project car at age 13 a 1992 Mazda Mx-3 GS and my father taught me the ropes... It is now a quite nice looking Kl Turbo Mx-3...
I also got my father hooked on imports through the process. He has an Vr-4 for a Summer DD
Since then I have become fairly active in the FWD Mazda Community..
I came to love my BG Proteges as Daily Drivers
Last Week I purchased my FD.

The Rx7 has 90,000, It was a one owner vehicle, In Flawless condition there is one door ding on the drivers side...
absolutely meticulous records, every service record to date, also tons of literature with it, around 15 plus magazines were the FD was reviewed also a vhs tap with a few car reviews. Surprised I still had a VHS player
It has all the options, short of the R1 suspension and Front strut Tower bar and the Hatch Shade....
I was very skeptical of buying it with 90,000 miles on the original motor, that seems to be almost unheard of,, but after reviewing the service records and checking the boost pattern, and compression. Everything seemed great.
Money was no option for the previous owner,,,, all scheduled maintenance, recalls and tech inspections were performed so I could not pass it up.
All and All I have put about 100 miles on the car and it is everything I expected it to be and more,, I was surprised by the heavy steering, and the jolt of the second turbo kicking in...
I would like to keep this car for many years and keep it as factory as possible,,,
I am just hoping i can get some decent miles out of this engine till it decides to retire...
My previous rotary knowledge is limited, I rebuilt the engine on my 1975 evinrude snowmobile (Rotary Engine)
I look forward to learning the ins and outs of these Cars.... So i do not feel overwhelmed like now.

My Mx-3 has been with me for 6 or 7 years already, I got it when I was 13 and love the car and what it stands for (Father Son Project)
Right now it is in its second build, I am repainting the entire chassis with the Chrysler Surf Blue,
and backing down on the horsepower was tired of breaking things mainly trannys ,,, Smaller Turbo and around 8 Psi I will be plenty happy with 250 wheel,,,
My plans are to turn the car into a reliable street car,, that i can enjoy when I take it to lapping day/track days, I am lucky to have USAIR 30 mintues from my house Road America about an hour, and black hawk farms about 2 and a half hours..
I hope to use the FD as an occasional track car also...

Its plan was to go along with my mx-3 for car shows etc,,,
It pretty much turned into a project i did not enjoy and sucked up way to much time and money,, Also I cannot really afford to ride it,,
I was happy with the final result and it really stretched my creativity, All the Body pieces were sourced from,, A crashed Scooter little TGB Scooter(I grabed the peices out of the dumpster the car dealership i worked at sold them,, someone ate it on a test drive
The tail is from a little pocket rocket..
The Bike is for sale for 2500 dollars as of Yesterday,,
