New(b) to Rotary

Hey all, my name is Eric, I'm 25yo in Washington. I have two kids, and been in the Army for a little over 6 years.

My project is a '74 Super Beetle I've decided I want to put a Rotary in. In searching for as much info and build ups, I discovered Rx7club. A lot of the VW forums that have threads dedicated to this type of set up refer to this site quite a bit, and apprecite all the information that's here to offer.

I won't have any type of build thread for quite a while, I'm still very much a noob to rotary, but I'll sit here and read, and read and read until I finally decide exactly what engine would suit my needs. I've read about people using (or wanting to use, Real build-ups are sorta non-existant) 12a, 12a Turbos, and 13bs, others of course, but those seem to fit w/o too much modification. Which ever I choose, I want to leave it 100% stock, that'll leave me with something reliable and still quite a bit of power compared to a stock 1600cc air cooled.

So just wanted to say what's up. I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can, and when this project kicks off for me, posting my build here so when others want to learn about this same exact set up for a Bug, they don't have 5 year old threads with no pictures and out of date/unfinished information.
