New guy from Long Beach, CA
Hey how's it going guys! My names Connor I'm from Long Beach, CA I'm a 22 year old I work full time in medical collections =]. Looking to get my start in the rotary world, recently I fell in love with the potential of the FC rx7 and I have been looking for one ever since. I've been a big BMW guy my whole life as everyone in my entire family has one, but I'm looking to get back into JDM cars. Used to own a Datsun 280z the car was my pride and joy until I had to sell her because I didn't have the money I fix her anymore =\. I enjoy every car whether it be American muscle, European, or Asian imports I truly don't understand people who hate a car or say it is ugly every car has potential to be cool. I love everything cars, I'm also a gamer I play computer games as well as Xbox hit me up my live ID is: SpecOps Marine0. I look forward to being a fixture in this forum for a long time! Anyways thanks if you read all that ^.^

Yeah the FC3S to me is the best choice. Good to hear a open minded car guy. Sry to hear about your Z, that's an amazing raw vehicle also. Hopefully you find your 7 sir. Peace and welcome.

Big cities arent always better. Living in the city you get 100x worse gas mileage. Im delivering pizzas in my rx7 now and i really love living in my town of 30k people instead of a huge city which would hurt my $ by messing with my mpg.

I'm looking into an 86' NA for $1000, it's basically stripped but the engine seems to run good. It does backfire a lot on deceleration I've been reading up on it and it seems that it is common with rx-7s running after market exhausts. If anyone has a tip as to a good rotary mechanic in southbay/ orange county area let me know I'd like to have someone go through it after I purchase it. If all goes as planned I should be a rotary owner tomorrow

I would say visit Rotary Reliability Racing, they have a great reputation and are 100% legit. Racing Beat and Mazdatrix are the top two shops I would visit as well. Also learn as much as you can yourself so you can save some money and learn how to work on RE's. I just performed my first RE swap and the feeling of accomplishment was priceless .
Welcome to the realm of RE . Keep us posted on your purchase and build.
Best wishes to you.
