New to the FD Family
Hello everyone my name is Josh and I Just picked up a 93 RX7 with 34,xxx miles. All Orignal. Touring model. In great condition. I don't know a lot about the rotory engines, but I am willing to learn. I live on the panhandle of florida. Me and my roommate both have 93 FD's.
I want to live at your place lol, welcome, dunno how far you are from tallahassee, theres a pretty decent sized import club, only 2 RX's both FC's, plenty of scca events and cruises!

Looking' good man! I've had mine since 96 and it's pretty much all stock except for reliability upgrades. If it hasn't been done already, swap out the air separation tank, AST, with the aftermarket metal one, cheap insurance. Good luck with it!
I love the body style of the FDs. I've had 240's, and a 350z ( btw I am selling the Z if anyone cares to buy it off me lol). I've always wanted a FD, even though I didn't know anything about rotory engines. Once my roommate bought his it just made it even harder to not get one. They will look so sexy in our garage once we have room for the both of them.
Ok will do, but idk what the AST is or what it does.
The AST does, as the name implies, separates air out from the cooling system. The stock canister is made of plastic and is prone to leakage if not total failure as the system is under pressure. It's located directly to the right of the stock intercooler if you're looking at the engine from the front of the car. Metal replacements are available from a lot of sources, I think the most popular being Pettit racing down in FL. I do see these from time to time on ebay but, if you go the used route, I'd suggest getting a new cap as the proper pressure of the cooling system is important (very) and an old cap might not be up to spec.
