New to the automotive field and rotary community :)

Hello! Name is Joannie but know as Estoile. I currently own a 1987 GXL NA. It’s also my first car . Many people have told me it was a bad idea to get an rx7 as my first car and especially one to tinker with.. I didn’t want to listen because I was super shocked when I found out that the rx7s don’t come with pistons originally! That had me hooked and the fact that the FCs are so damn clean.. I had to get one :’D . I’d have to say.. old car syndrome was definitely hitting this car. Didn’t make it better from the lack of care from previous owners.. I think i’m the 4th or 5th owner. Luckily I was able to pick up a bucket 99 Integra as a daily so I can slowly build up on my rx7 . The sound of the rotary engine is beyond amazing.. I never knew how addicting it is to listen to ! Other than that, I am new to the automotive community so if you have any sources for me to learn from please let me know !

Welcome. You've come to the right place to learn. There is a wealth of information here! Would love to see some pics of your 7. The RX-7 can be a reliable daily driver, but due to the age and possible neglect, it may take some time and money to get the car there. You don't want to drive it much until you've made sure you went through the entire car. It will be a great car when you're finished with it!
