Hello! Name is Joannie but know as Estoile. I currently own a 1987 GXL NA. It’s also my first car :) . Many people have told me it was a bad idea to get an rx7 as my first car and especially one to tinker with.. I didn’t want to listen because I was super shocked when I found out that the rx7s don’t come with pistons originally! That had me hooked and the fact that the FCs are so damn clean.. I had to get one :’D . I’d have to say.. old car syndrome was definitely hitting this car. Didn’t make it better from the lack of care from previous owners.. I think i’m the 4th or 5th owner. Luckily I was able to pick up a bucket 99 Integra as a daily so I can slowly build up on my rx7 . The sound of the rotary engine is beyond amazing.. I never knew how addicting it is to listen to ! Other than that, I am new to the automotive community so if you have any sources for me to learn from please let me know !
