hi my name is nick. im 17 years old. been into cars my whole life. been drag racing since i was 7 years old. i went and bought a 1980 rx7 a few weeks ago for 500. got it running after it had been sittin for about a year. (said the guy who sold it to me) the car is in great shape. its got 2 bad spots of rust behind both rear tires on the quater panels. looks like someone tried to patch it and failed. the only other thing that sucks about the car is that the seats are torn up. otherwise its in great condition. ive been readin through this site creepin on threads and readin about mods i can do to my car. ive already had alot of fun cruisin around in it. the no power steering is my fav though(:

Welcome to the club Nick , it looks like you got a decent early first gen. I've owned lots of RX's but have always been keen on the 79-80's ; don't worry about the seats. Any seat from a 1979-1985 RX7 should bolt right in , the cloth ones from 1984-85 are the best in my opinion. Cheers.

 

yeah im hoping i can find a good pair of seats for it. i might just get some black racing seats for it. but not to sure yet.
