Never had a car like this before...
Any rx7 fuel economy is already low but mine is unusually low (13-15) even for that range and I've been driving it rather gingerly because of the pressure sensor and o2 sensor leaks (and other whatnot that I've found). I've heard of people driving it in a similar fashion of "easy" driving and they get 17+ mpg. I'm gonna change those sensors out as well as the pulsation damper for starters.
Get a GSL-SE
Everybody on the forum is either in LA or the Bay Area. Anyway welcome to the club. You'll prolly need a cat for smog, and if you want you can be like me and put a test pipe in between smogs so you don't screw up your cat.

^actually I magically passed! I was thinking about getting the bonez hi flow but the place I had failed at didn't seem to have their stuff calibrated. I went somewhere else a week later without having done a thing to the 7 and simply passed on the maximum allowable hc... It was nice, I celebrated by going to k1 that day
Congrats on the 7, I got mine last year and finally ready to get it smogged, where did you get yours done? I failed once already =(

Pomona Smog Test Only
1097 West Mission Blvd, Suite B
Pomona CA 91766
http://pomonasmogtestonly.com/
Use the coupon! The current one is $13.75 for test and certificate. Vietnamese guy did my car, his last name is Nguyen. I hope you pass
I couldn't believe it but a pass is a pass so I will not question it. I was referred there by a friend's long time mechanic.

I don't think so.Unless I get good enough at heel and toe and shoot a video of it while wearing shorts. Unlikely at this time.
You must have missed mazfest-- fair amount of ladies in shorts next to 7's over there.

/drool.... Love it ...
I love my 89 Turbo II.. oh just a heads up.. I just found out about this myself.. But if you plan on running more then Stock Boost of 7 or 8 lbs... you should get a Fuel Cut Controller..
The Fuel Cut Controller allows the Turbo II to run at higher-than-factory pre-set turbo boost pressures without experiencing pre-programmed rear rotor fuel cutoff. The Fuel Cut controller essentially deceives the ECU (computer) into thinking the boost is not as high as it actually is. Consequently, the stock boost gauge no longer displays accurate boost pressure.
. FYI they are not legal out here in Cali but most cops don't know what they are..

I'll keep that in mind, that's good to know-- it's another reason to add for staying na. Right now, it's largely a funding issue...
There's still plenty to work on before I consider shoving more air in. I am not sure how much power is actually useful when going to autox and how much is truly usable on the street for spirited driving, so I haven't really focused on it yet. If I could have both a TII or FD together with my na FC then it would be great. Unlikely though

She did...and oddly enough she was looking for you. I was with Jaime at your garage space next to Jesse's (real.chick3n). your FD was there, but you were like a ninja and vanished.
told her where the ez-ups were but i think she chilled with MOCC.

Thanks
And yes, I took them. But as a note, they're edited for brightness, contrast, and color balance.
thank you!
New balance ftw. The shoes were a gift
Yeah, Alex (although I don't know him) is the only rx7club person I can actually name so I figured what the hell why not say hi. Of course, NINJA
I mostly hung out by the track where they were loading people into the ride alongs-- lots of people traveling through there so I can hardly recall everyone I met.
Not sure when that'll happen since I'm generally reluctant to let others touch my camera AND my 7. But I want to do it pretty badly so eventually I'm going to have to let someone take one of those sides.

Not sure if I should start a build thread now but as an update, it's got a new Koyo rad, oil cooler lines, RB catback, and a lower model Alpine headunit inside now.
I wasn't able to do the radiator and oil lines myself, but I definitely put the rest in-- first time ever really working on my own car
To be fair, I did have help with heavy lifting and I had access to a nice lift and great tools.
